2019 National College Cornhole Championship Presented by Subway and Johnsonville

The 2019 National College Cornhole Championship (NCCC) is almost here! College students, alumni, and fans from all over the country will flock to Myrtle Beach, SC the weekend of December 27th for three days of college cornhole action. Johnsonville and Subway will headline this event which will feature two television ESPN broadcasts and award $50,000 by the end of the weekend. Let's take a look at the schedule and how to qualify:

Schedule

Friday 12/27

-6 pm: $15,000 College Doubles. All competing doubles teams will be split into 4 brackets and play down to 2 teams in each bracket to find the final 8 teams. Featured on ACLDN.

-All night: Madan Time (Sit 'n go blind draws)

Saturday 12/28

-10 am: $10,000 College Singles. Double elimination tournament, split into as many brackets as needed. Bracket will pause at the final 16 or at 3 pm, whichever comes first.

-10 am: $15,000 Alumni/Fan Doubles. All competing doubles teams will be split into 4 brackets and play down to 2 teams in each bracket to find the final 8 teams. Featured on ACLDN.

-4 pm: ESPN Live Broadcast. Broadcast the final 8 College Doubles teams in a single elimination, 12-round format.

-7 pm: Final 16 of College Singles. Featured on ACLDN.

-All day: Madan Time (Sit 'n go blind draws)

Sunday 12/29

-10 am: College Blind Draw. Open to all competing college players. Bracket will pause at the final 16 or at 1:30 pm, whichever comes first. 

-10 am: $10,000 Alumni/Fan Blind Draw. Open to all competing alumni/fan players. Bracket will pause at the final 16 or at 1:30 pm, whichever comes first. 

-All day: Madan Time (Sit 'n go blind draws)

-2 pm: ESPN2 Broadcast recording. Broadcast the final 8 Alumni/Fan Doubles in a single elimination, 12-round format.

-5 pm: Final 16 of College and Alumni/Fan Blind Draws

-8 pm: Watch party for 9 pm ESPN2 broadcast of Alumni/Fan Doubles

Qualifying

There are multiple ways to receive a bid to the National College Cornhole Championship as an alumni/fan or college team. An Alumni/Fan bid will be for a team of two and earn entry for both players into the $15,000 Alumni/Fan Doubles and $10,000 into Alumni/Fan Blind Draw. A College bid will be for a team of two and earn entry for both players into the $15,000 College Doubles and $10,000 College Singles. The College Blind draw will have a $10 entry fee the day of the event and award scholarship prizes based on total attendance of the event. Here are the ways to earn a team College or Alumni/Fan bid:

-Win a free bid from the Subway College Cornhole Tour

-Win a qualifying tournament hosted by a sanctioned ACL Director (contact your closest director for details)

-Purchase a bid directly for $250 total for both players into two events each (registration will open at app.iplayacl.com on October 20th, 2019)

Eligibility

To be considered a College player, you must be enrolled at a 2 or 4 year college or university within your first 4 years of undergraduate study in good academic standing and NOT previously earned money at an ACL National or Conference event, per the ACL Junior/College policy. Players on the same College team MUST attend the same college or university. College students MUST bring college ID's to be eligible to compete. The Alumni/Fan tournaments are open to fans and/or alumni of the same school. You do not need to provide any documentation for this event, but note that you will be representing that school in the alumni/fan portion of the event.

Earnings by College players at this event will be paid directly to their university as a tuition payment in the spring 2020 semester. Earnings by Alumni/fan players will NOT be given to the Alumni/fan teams directly. Instead, the earnings can be either donated to their represented school's academic fund on the players' behalf, donated to their represented school's athletic booster club on the players' behalf, or paid directly to certified student loans from the players' represented school.

The host hotel for the event will be the Doubletree Resort by Hilton located at 3200 S Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 . Players competing in this event will receive a discount on room nights by calling and mentioning the NCCC. The location of the competition will be the Myrtle Beach Sports Center located at 2115 Sports Way, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
