ACL Open #10 - Albany NY

****UPDATE AS OF 5/8/21*****

DUE TO SCHEDULING COMPLICATIONS BY THE VENUE OUTSIDE OF ACL CONTROL, THE ACL PRO SHOOTOUT #2 AND ACL OPEN #10 HAVE BEEN MOVED TO THE TIMES UNION ARENA AND ALBANY CAPITAL CENTER IN ALBANY, NY. THE SCHEDULE REMAINS THE SAME FOR THE EVENT. THE MAXIMUM PLAYER CAPACITY IS NOW 512 PLAYERS. ALL PRO SHOOTOUT PORTIONS OF THE EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE TIMES UNION ARENA AND THE OPEN EVENT WILL BE SPLIT BETWEEN THE TWO ROOMS. MORE DETAILS ON EVENT LAYOUT WILL BE RELEASED IN THE COMING DAYS.

DUE TO NY STATE LAW, EVERY PLAYER AND GUEST ATTENDING THIS EVENT WILL NOW NEED TO PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION PROOF ON DAY ONE OF THE EVENT OF EITHER A NEGATIVE COVID-19 TEST WITHIN 72 HOURS OF THE EVENT BEGINNING OR A FULL COVID-19 VACCINATION RECORD.

ALL REGISTRATIONS ORIGINALLY MADE FOR THE UNCASVILLE, CT EVENT WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO THE ALBANY, NY BASED EVENT. Friday, June 4th

7:30 am - Doors Open


ACL Pro Shootout Times (all games are limited to 12 rounds)


9 am - Pro Singles Shootouts (Men and Women are Separate – Rounders then Single Elimination Brackets)


1 pm (approximate) – Pro Doubles Shootout (immediately follows the Pro Singles Shootouts – Rounders then Single Elimination Bracket(s))


7 pm – CBS Sports Network Broadcast


9 pm – CBS Taping



Other Events (Pro’s participating in the shootout are not eligible to play the crew cup events. Additionally, Pro’s still playing in the shootout or playing on the CBS Broadcasts are also not eligible to play in the 5 pm events)


12:30 pm – Advanced Crew Cup Shootout (10 rounds games)


12:30 pm – Competitive/Intermediate Crew Cup Shootout (10 rounds games)

Saturday, June 5th


7:30 am - Doors Open


9 am - Rounders - Doubles – 6 Rounds/Games - Each round will last approximately 1 hour


3 pm (approximate) - Doubles Levels 3 and 4


5 pm (or 2 hours after Level 3 and 4 begin) - Doubles Level 1 and 2




Sunday, June 6th


8 am - Doors Open


9 am - Singles Levels 3 and 4 start


12 pm - Singles Levels 1 and 2 start




Sit and go blind draws throughout all 3 days if boards are available.


If a player does not show up for Rounders on Saturday, they will lose their registration and will not be able to play singles or doubles and not given a refund.



FORMAT


ACL Rounders is a Progressive Round Robin format where all teams are put in a pool. 6 rounds will be played by each team. The first-round opponents will be random. For each round after the first, teams will be matched up against another team with the same (or similar) record. 1-0 teams will play 1-0 teams. 3-1 teams will play 3-1 teams, or similar. After the 6th round, teams will be divided into 4 groups (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4). Players will receive their doubles bracket after rounders which will tell them which level they made it into. The 4 pools of each Level will be put in either 2 or 4 double elimination brackets for Singles depending on the number of entrants (see start times above). Doubles will be double elimination brackets, 2 or 4 brackets per Level depending on the number of entrants (see start times above). All games will be played to 21 (except crew cup which will be 10 rounds.). Teams will be divided into 4 groups based on rounders record first, point differential second and total points third.



REGISTRATION


Early registration will open for ACL Platinum members on Sunday, May 2nd at 9pm EST and remain open until Saturday, May 9th at 9pm. If there are open spots after the Platinum Early Bird Registration period, general registration will open to everyone on Saturday, May 9th at 9pm EST. If you want to partner with a certain individual, you both will need to register individually and get in the event. For example, if Peter is a platinum player and he registers during the early bird registration, but his partner, Brad who is not a platinum member doesn’t get to register because the event sold out, Peter will have to find a partner who did get registered. It is highly recommended that you purchase a platinum membership to access the early bird registration as this event may sell out quickly. There will NOT be a wait list. Once it is sold out, it is closed. If spots open due to no-shows, we MAY allow walk up registrations on a first come, first served basis.


There will be a limit of 512 players that can attend this Open with a maximum of 128 ACL Pro’s allowed to participate in the Open.


COST


Pro Shootout (Starts Friday 9am)


The Pro Shootout on Friday is Free for ACL Pro Players who are the only players allowed to participate in the Pro Shootout.


Open (Starts Saturday 9am)


The cost for the Open which begins on Saturday is $100/player for Gold and Platinum players ($120 for Bronze and Silver players) which includes Rounders, Singles and Doubles, 10 total games guaranteed!


60% of total entry fees paid out for the Open. Out of the 60%, 85% will go to Level 1, 15% to level 2 and prizes will be awarded in Levels 3 and 4.


Crew Cup (Friday 12:30 pm)


Advanced - $100/team ($25/player) – 70% Payout


Competitive/Intermediate - $80/team ($20/player) – 60% Payout – all players must have a skill level of Competitive, Intermediate or Novice. Teams MAY FORFEIT if this rule is not followed.


Singles (Friday 5 pm)


Women’s - $25/player – 70% Payout


Seniors - $25/player – 70% Payout


Blind Draw (Friday 5 pm)


Advanced - $30/player – 70% Payout - Pro/Advanced Skill levels only


Competitive/Intermediate - $20/player – 60% Payout – all players must have a skill level of Competitive, Intermediate or Novice.




A daily cover charge for all players/spectators:


$5/day or $10/weekend (12 and Under Free)




NO Refunds given after Wednesday June 2nd at 8pm EST unless there is a shutdown from COVID-19. Outside food and beverages are NOT allowed to enter the building.



OPEN POINTS


ACL Open points will be awarded for Singles and Doubles standings, not for Rounders.



COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS


FACE MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHEN IN THE BUILDING (unless actively eating or drinking). If a player/spectator is found not wearing a mask, a warning will be given. If that player/spectator is found not wearing a mask again, they will be escorted out of the building, be asked to not return, and will not receive a refund. Player and spectator temperatures will be taken upon arrival in the building each day. If you are feeling sick, stay home.

ALL PLAYERS AND GUESTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION PROOF OF EITHER A NEGATIVE COVID-19 TEST WITHIN 72 HOURS OF THE START OF THE EVENT OR PROVIDE A FULL COVID-19 VACCINATION RECORD.


PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT


Players must abide by the rules and regulations including the Player Conduct section. Players are not allowed to transfer their registration to another player.


Please double check your player profile and make sure all the correct information is listed (cellphone number for texting alerts).

Disclaimer: any player that is asked to leave the facility for any reason including violating the venue’s COVID policies will forfeit all entry fees and prize money earned during the event.
